Library Seeks Teens For Advisory Board

The BrocktonPost
BROCKTON--The Brockton Public Library is looking for teenagers in grades 6 to 12 to form a new Teen Advisory Board.
An informational meeting will be held Monday, November 29 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Brockton Main Library.
Teens are invited to come for a slice of pizza and talk about what a Teen Advisory Board is all about.
To be eligible, teens must live in or attend school in Brockton.
Once formed, the Brockton Library Teen Advisory Board will meet on a regular basis to advise staff and library trustees on library issues and policies concerning teens in the community; recommend ways to encourage more teens to use the library system and its resources; and contribute volunteer hours assisting with events and programs.
Teen Advisory Board participation can count towards school-required community service hours.
For more information, call Laurie Cavanaugh at the Main Library, 508-580-7890, x207, or email lcavanaugh@ocln.org.
